If you could fly across a blue cloud-filled sky to a thin stretch of green land that separates two of the largest continents on Earth.

Imagine the scene as you descend through blue skies to a lake set like a jewel amidst forested mountains and spectacular volcanoes.

Imagine your journey through mist shrouded mountains, across sun drenched plains, a crossing of a mystical lake to your destination. You arrive at a town square set ablaze with colour from flowering trees and shrubs

Notice how you are greeted with appreciation and joy and welcomed as a new member of a growing fraternity of people.

Notice the pride!

Notice the enthusiasm and the spirit!

How do they do so much with so little?

Consider for one moment how these communities have lived life at its most terrible and its most heroic.

Now imagine what you can learn, what challenges you face and how your time in the village will contribute to lasting change for both your hosts, your teachers and most importantly, yourself.

That is what my journey of discovery represents; an opportunity for you to use your imagination, energy and talents to do something important outside your normal experience.
